Description
Gum‑elastic is a vinyl polysiloxane (VPS) elastomeric impression material formulated for gingival (gum) reproduction and soft‑tissue masking in dental models and laboratory work. Unlike typical tray impression materials for teeth, this product is used to simulate the gum contours around implant or prepared tooth models, aiding technicians in fabricating crowns, bridges, and prostheses with accurate emergence profiles and soft‑tissue adaptation.
It is typically supplied as a dual‑cartridge system (base and catalyst, often 50 ml each) that is mixed through a dispensing gun for consistent results. The cured material has excellent elasticity, tear resistance, and fine detail reproduction, making it suitable for creating a realistic gingival mask or soft tissue replica on a working model
